Batavia Sea Safaris is a Geraldton based, owner operated fishing charter business which offers personalised tours to the Abrolhos Islands and surrounding Midwest waters of Western Australia. The crew at BSS have a wealth of experience in the maritime, fishing and charter industries, are dedicated to interacting with customers and have pride in showcasing the region.

Our Batavia Sea Safaris are filled to the brim with adventure! Our tours generally include plenty of good food, snorkelling, fishing and sightseeing. Spearfishing and surfing are options as well as whale, dolphin and sea lion watching.

The fishing at the Abrolhos Islands is world class and is a highlight of the tour for most of our visiting clientele. The Islands are home to a range of pelagic, bottom and reef species that are usually all high quality eating.

Western Rock Lobsters are prolific in the waters surrounding Geraldton and the Abrolhos Islands and can be easily caught year round with the best months being from December to May.
In his previous life, skipper Steve completed 13 full seasons crayfishing for western rock lobster.

CATCH & COOK
Batavia Sea Safaris was at the forefront of developing a catch and cook tour which is specifically designed to take guests to experience pulling craypots close to shore. The tour then returns to shore to feast on the lobster, which can be done comfortably within a few hours.
It is a great way to get a taste of what the region has to offer if you are short on time and is amazing value for money.

Steve is a born and bred Geraldton lad who left school to pursue a career at sea.
Not too many know all areas of the Abrolhos better than Steve who is passionate about making sure every client is comfortable, catered for and creating a memorable experience for them!
